Barizon are a stoner/doom metal band from Rio de Janeiro who released their debut full-length "Towards the Rising Sun" in 2014 through Monstro Discos, recorded at Estúdio Superfuzz. Described as eight sludgy stoner doom rippers packed with hallucinogenic heaviness, the album drew comparisons to Down, Red Fang, and Mastodon, placing the band among Rio's more prominent underground stoner acts. The five-piece features Alexandre "Beef" Barbosa on vocals alongside Eduardo Sodré and Gabriel Zander on guitars.
