Chicago's Silaera blend the sweeping, textured approach of atmospheric black metal with post-metal's dynamic range and patient song construction, producing immersive and emotionally resonant heavy music since 2019.
Sinistro formed in Lisbon, Portugal in 2011, initially releasing an instrumental debut before integrating the distinctive voice of vocalist Patrícia Andrade, which became the defining element of the band's atmospheric doom and post-metal sound. After signing to Season of Mist, the band released Semente (2016) and Sangue Cássia (2018), earning praise from peers including Paradise Lost and Cult of Luna and appearances at Roadburn Festival. Their fourth full-length Vértice arrived in 2024 via Alma Mater Records. Sinistro are widely considered one of Portugal's most important metal exports, with Andrade's vocal presence lifting their work beyond genre convention.
Skeleton Screen is a Denver, Colorado post-metal and sludge metal band formed in 2020, building slow-burn songs from layers of distorted guitar, dynamic shifts, and the kind of punishing low-end that the Midwest and Mountain West underground has consistently produced. Their work occupies the emotionally heavy territory between Neurosis-style post-metal and traditional sludge.
