Mawashi Geri fuse progressive death metal with the atmosphere and mythology of traditional Japanese culture, drawing on legends of the underworld for their lyrical and sonic identity. Their 2022 debut album "Yomi Yokai" is a concept record built around creatures from the Japanese realm of the dead, pairing technical death metal structures with distinctly Eastern melodic textures across eight tracks.

Mordeth have cultivated one of the most idiosyncratic voices in Brazilian extreme metal since the early 1990s, blending dissonant death metal with progressive structures and a persistent fascination with science fiction, futurism, and existential philosophy. Their debut "Lux In Tenebris" (1993) established the blueprint, and after a long hiatus the band returned with "The Unknown Knows" (2018) and "Hermetic Creation" (2025), both of which continued to push their sound into increasingly dense and conceptually ambitious territory.
