Tailgater from North Rhine-Westphalia forge heavy and speed metal that harks back to the golden age of '80s metal, combining galloping tempos with anthemic hooks since 2015. Their approach channels the Teutonic tradition of Accept and early Helloween through a modern production sensibility.
Aalst speed/thrash metal band Target formed in 1986 and became one of Belgium's more technically-minded acts of the era, releasing their debut Mission Executed in 1987 on Ralph Hubert's Aarrrg label — the imprint run by the Mekong Delta bassist.
