Caligo is a stoner/doom/sludge metal band from Brasília, Brazil, formed around 2012 by bassist Sandro Santos alongside musicians from other local acts including Death Slam, Terror Revolucionário, Isolate, and I.T.D. Their sound draws heavily on classic doom forebears such as Black Sabbath, Cathedral, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, and Candlemass, and some of their compositions incorporate poetry by Brazilian writer Augusto dos Anjos. The band has released a demo titled “Templo da Descrença” and the single “Monstro Manto,” and members have also contributed to the doom metal supergroup Summa.
Chant of the Goddess is a Brazilian stoner/doom metal band with sludge metal influences, formed in 2017 in the São Paulo state region. The band released a self-titled debut album in 2017, produced by Sebastian Carsin and Renan Angelo, and appeared on the compilation Doomed & Stoned Latinoamerica Vol. I (2018) with the track "Sanctuary of The Scarlet Night."
Comeculebras is a stoner and doom metal band from San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina's Patagonia region, formed in 2016. The trio of Emilio Contissa on guitar, Federico Agüero on drums, and Fernando Valeria on bass and vocals released their self-titled debut in 2016 and followed it with Río Rojo in 2017, also contributing to the Doomed & Stoned Latinoamerica Vol. II compilation.
Crua-chan is a stoner/doom metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, featuring Christian Garis on drums, Jorge Patiño on bass and vocals, and David Dos on guitar and vocals. The trio released a seven-track self-titled album in 2018, blending crushing riffs with psychedelic textures and unconventional instrumentation.
