Helhorse is a Copenhagen, Denmark heavy metal and stoner-sludge band that evolved from an earlier project called Dødning, which formed in 2006. The band adopted the Helhorse name, drawn from a 19th-century poem by Danish writer Steen Steensen Blicher in which the ghost horse serves as an omen of death, and released their debut album For Wolves and Vultures in 2010.
