Mammoth Mammoth coalesced in Melbourne, Australia in 2007 from the musical restlessness of guitarist Ben Couzens and vocalist Gareth Sweet, delivering a self-described smash of stoner, glam, doom, punk, and psychedelic rock influences. The band signed to Napalm Records and released Volume V: Mount the Mountain (2017) and Kreuzung (2019), having built their following through a decade of high-volume touring and a series of independently released early records. Their fuzzed-out, high-energy approach aligns them with Australian hard rock traditions while filtering them through the American stoner rock aesthetic.
Mil Tormentas (Spanish for "A Thousand Storms") is a stoner rock and sludge metal band from Buenos Aires that formed in late 2013. They released their self-titled debut EP on November 1, 2014, recorded at La Nave de Oseberg, and put out their music through South American Sludge Records, the label founded by Sergio Chotsourian of Los Natas.
Founded in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2001, Monkey3 are an instrumental band rooted in stoner rock, space rock, and psychedelic music, known for hypnotic, gradually escalating compositions delivered alongside immersive visual projections in live settings. Signed to Napalm Records, their catalog spans seven studio albums including The 5th Sun (2013), Astra Symmetry (2016), and Sphere (2019). They are a fixture of the European psychedelic rock circuit.
Formed in Red Bank, New Jersey in 1989 by vocalist and guitarist Dave Wyndorf, Monster Magnet helped establish the template for stoner rock with their debut Spine of God (1991) and Superjudge (1993). Their 1998 album Powertrip crossed into mainstream success, earning a gold certification and placing the single Negasonic Teenage Warhead on heavy MTV rotation. Wyndorf remains the sole consistent member across eleven studio albums, and the band is widely credited as one of the genre's founding acts.
Murdock deal in slow, heavy riffs steeped in a 1970s Black Sabbath–rooted stoner doom tradition, with a psychedelic edge that the band describes as exploring dark earth rather than outer space. Their 2021 EP "Entre Tigres e Lobos" showcases the quartet's knack for mood-saturated songwriting, and the track "Olhos Sinistros" — a lo-fi, crushing meditation on a bloodthirsty mythical creature — has become a fan favourite.
My Sleeping Karma formed in the Aschaffenburg region of Germany in 2005 as a side project of stoner rock band The Great Escape, eventually becoming their primary focus. The entirely instrumental group blends psychedelic rock and stoner rock with imagery drawn from Hindu and Buddhist traditions, releasing a series of studio albums including Satya (2008), Soma (2011), Moksha (2015), and Atma (2022). Their meditative, rhythm-driven approach to heavy music has earned them a dedicated international following.
