Schererville, Indiana's Morthona have been mixing death and thrash metal since 2016, rooted in the classic crossover between the two genres that defined much of the late-1980s underground.
Morthifera is a thrash metal band formed in 2010 in González Catán, Greater Buenos Aires, by drummer Cristian Romero along with guitarist Sergio Noriega. The band built their name on socially charged, working-class-rooted thrash, releasing the EP Régimen de Sangre in 2011, the full-length Basurero Humano through Icarus Music in 2016, and the independently released Apócrifo in 2019.
