VLTIMAS is an extreme metal supergroup formed in 2015, uniting Norwegian guitarist Rune "Blasphemer" Eriksen (ex-Mayhem, Aura Noir), American vocalist David Vincent (ex-Morbid Angel), and Canadian drummer Flo Mounier of Cryptopsy. The band's blackened death metal sound synthesizes the cold Scandinavian riff architecture associated with Eriksen's black metal past with the brutal American death metal traditions represented by his bandmates. Their debut Something Wicked Marches In (2019) and follow-up EPIC, both released on Season of Mist, established them as one of the genre's most formidable recent collaborations.
Vocifera is a groove/thrash metal band from Belgium, active since 2012 and built on the fusion of groove metal's crushing rhythms with thrash metal's aggressive speed. Their sound combines heavyweight riffing with relentless percussive force.

Voidred is a groove and thrash metal band from Assis, São Paulo state, formed by Rafael Mazo (vocals/guitar), Pietro Setti (lead guitar), Angelo Setti (drums), and Henrique Carpentieri (bass). With sixteen studio albums across four decades, they are considered a cornerstone of Canadian heavy metal alongside Sacrifice, Razor, and Annihilator.
Saint Paul's Volcano Diving Inc have been at the groove/thrash/metalcore intersection since 2016, which is a noisier crossroads than it sounds — the groove metal chug, thrash precision, and metalcore aggression pull in different directions and the band's trick is keeping it from flying apart. The band name signals they're not taking themselves too seriously, but the music is built on legitimate riff craft underneath the attitude. Eight years in, they've made the combination feel like their own thing.
