(waning) is a doom and post-metal band from Sacramento, California, active since 2007 with a catalog spanning eight releases. From the sparse beginnings of their 2007 self-titled EP through the expansive atmospherics of 2017's full-length "Still Hours," the band has steadily refined a sound rooted in glacial heaviness and brooding emotional weight. Their work occupies the space where crushing doom riffs dissolve into shimmering post-metal passages.
...and Here I Lie is a death/doom project from Holley, New York, active from 1996 to 2000 across four releases including the full-length "Regrets." The project combined the crushing weight of funeral pace doom with guttural death metal vocals and bleak, introspective themes. Tracks like "pastures of wandered sounds" and "days of isolation" reflect a deeply melancholic strain of late-90s death/doom.
...And Oceans is a Finnish black metal band founded in 1989 in Jyväskylä under the name Festerday, shifting to symphonic black metal and adopting their current name in the late 1990s. The band released their debut The Dynamic Gallery of Thoughts in 1998 on Season of Mist, and by their 2001 album A.M.G.O.D. via Century Media had incorporated industrial rhythms, EBM, and techno elements into a notably avant-garde take on black metal. ...Beneath Starless Night is a black metal project from Baltimore, Maryland, surfacing in 2024 with a two-track split release alongside Elfjada.
