One of the longest-running heavy metal bands in South Bohemia, Araxa were founded in Protivín in 1977 and have since cycled through 31 musicians — including 12 drummers — while retaining founding guitarist Luboš Polák as their only continuous member. Influenced by Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and Uriah Heep, the band has approximately 30 original compositions and celebrated 40 years of uninterrupted activity.
