AZURE EMOTE is an avant-garde death metal project from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded in 2003 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Hrubovcak as an outlet free from conventional genre constraints. The band's music incorporates experimental, industrial, electronic, doom, progressive, and blackened death metal elements, and has featured guest contributions from notable figures including Kelly Conlon (Death's Symbolic sessions) and former Eluveitie vocalist Anna Murphy. After a hiatus from 2007 to 2011, the band returned and released their fourth studio album, Cryptic Aura, via Testimony Records in 2025.
