Degotten is a black/thrash metal band from Valdivia, in southern Chile, formed in 2013 with a sound that draws on classic heavy metal, speed metal, and black thrash traditions in the vein of Motörhead, Dissection, and Goatwhore. Their debut EP 'Finsterkult' was released in March 2015, recorded at Rubicon Estudios and limited to 500 copies, followed by the single 'Black Wolf Pride' (2016), the full-length 'Hexentrost' (2017), and 'TODESHYMNE' in 2021. Lyrical themes center on war, Satanism, and Nietzschean philosophy.
Tampa's Degradation emerged in 2024 in a city that practically invented brutal, technically proficient metal — the same soil that grew Death, Morbid Angel, and Obituary. Their technical thrash metal approach carries forward that Florida legacy with angular riffing and precision aggression aimed at listeners who appreciate both the intellect and the brutality of extreme music.
