Dark Aevum plays power/progressive metal from Deva in Transylvania, active since 2006 and whose Latin-inspired name — evoking a dark age — sets the stage for ambitious, narrative-driven compositions. Their two decades of work from the Transylvanian highlands have produced a substantial catalog of technically accomplished metal.
Dark Affliction is a Greek black metal and post-metal project led by multi-instrumentalist Panagiotis Christias, with contributions from violinist Nikos Mavridis, vocalist Anastasia Kiritsi, and drummer Eleni Nota. Their 2024 concept album Five Stages of Grief structures six tracks around the stages of grief — denial, hate, bargaining, depression, and acceptance — recorded at NoiseBox Studio in Patras.
