Chicago's Hess navigates the intersection of neoclassical grandeur and progressive metal architecture, weaving composed precision with metallic weight. Formed in 2020, the project brings a composer's sensibility to heavy music, prioritizing structure and dynamics over brute force.
Hess is a traditional heavy metal band from Rosario, Argentina led by vocalist Melani Hess, who originally formed the project in 2010 as a tribute to classic acts such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. The band released their debut album "Hagalaz" in October 2014, followed by the full-length "Harpokrates" in 2019, with the current lineup also featuring guitarist Ariel Schefer and lead guitarist Diego Schmidhalter.
