Mítica is a Progressive/Power Metal project from Quito, Ecuador, formed in 2022 by a collective of established Ecuadorian musicians alongside international guests. The band's stated mission is to preserve and promote Ecuadorian cultural identity by setting the country's principal legends to music in a style they call "Metal Opera Equinoccial." Their 2022 release "El Pacto de Cantuña" adapts the famous Quito colonial legend into a theatrical metal format.
