Mortespermia deal in aggressively lo-fi, necro black metal that draws heavily from the second-wave aesthetic — raw production, occult and left-hand-path lyrical themes, and an uncompromising underground ethos. Their 2016 cassette demo xXx Raw xXx, pressed to 66 copies on Depressive Illusions Records, was followed by the 2019 split O Miasma Misantropo das Covas on Kult of Bloody Rites, placing them firmly within the global raw black metal tape-trading underground.
Mortferus is a black metal band from Tartu, Estonia, initiated in late 2010 by Henry Luts and Martin Kolk. Their 2013 debut Creations and Other Retributions channels grim, evil atmospheres through eight tracks of raw Estonian black metal.
