Markiisi is a blackened crust and hardcore punk band from Tampere, Finland, active since 2010 as 'harbingers of Finnish black metal and hc punk.' Their 2023 self-titled debut album spans fourteen tracks fusing black metal, hardcore punk, and dark ambient with satirical commentary on religion and society.
Marko Hietala is a Finnish heavy metal musician who served as bassist and male vocalist for Nightwish from 2001 through his departure in January 2021, appearing on the band's most commercially successful era including Dark Passion Play (2007) and Endless Forms Most Beautiful (2015). He has simultaneously led the Finnish heavy metal band Tarot since the 1980s as vocalist and bassist. Marky Ramone is the performing identity of drummer Marc Bell, a New York musician whose career bridges early hard rock, first-wave punk, and the long afterlife of the Ramones songbook. After the Ramones ended, he continued with projects including Marky Ramone and the Intruders and Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. His current live work focuses on short, fast, hook-heavy punk rock, preserving the attack, tempo, and blunt melodic force of the Ramones while connecting that legacy to later punk audiences.
Marlugubre is a progressive death, post-metal, and acoustic/ambient band from Taranto, Italy, formed in 2019. They blend progressive death metal with post-metal dynamics and ambient passages.
