Necrosis is a veteran thrash metal band from Santiago, Chile, founded in 1986 by brothers José Miguel and Andrés Nacrur, who had previously played together in Massacre Chile. The band operated across three active periods — 1986–1990, 1999–2003, and 2006–2017 — releasing five full-lengths including the 1988 debut The Search, Reborn (2009), Reenslaved to the Machine (2014), and Age of Decadence (2015), with a sound often compared to the Bay Area thrash of Exodus and Death Angel. Their original run ended with the suicide of bassist Alfredo Peña in 1990, and subsequent reunions brought significant lineup changes before the band's final dissolution.
Necrosis was a thrash metal band from Punta Alta, Buenos Aires, Argentina, active from 1992 until their split. They released a demo in 1996 and contributed the track "A Pacto de Morir" to the compilation El Lado Oscuro de la Fé Tape, released on Falsa Fe Fanzine in 1997.
