Stassfurt death metal act from Saxony-Anhalt, active since 2013. Over a decade of output from this small salt-mining town has produced a steady catalog of aggressive, uncompromising death metal.
Obscure Dreams trades in a deliberately lo-fi strain of black metal that bleeds into ambient territory, sitting somewhere between harsh raw recordings and introspective drone. The 2021 release "Burden" — a three-track set featuring the corrosive "Craving for Lamentations" — captures a project more interested in mood and texture than convention, while earlier material like "Murmúrios da Lua" leans further into atmospheric, near-wordless drift.
Formed in November 2019, Obscure Relic play a ferocious, old-school-rooted black metal indebted to early Scandinavian brutality — all razor riffs, blast-beat drumming, and vocalist Caronte's infernal high-pitched shrieks stacked against guttural roars. Their 2020 EP "First Black Communion" announced a band comfortable in the genre's most violent register, followed in 2021 by the fuller "Black Sorcery Devotion", twelve tracks of occult-drenched, relentless attack.

Obscurity Tears trace their roots back to 1994, when the band began under the name Smashed Face drawing deep from Paradise Lost, Cathedral, and My Dying Bride before refining the sound and adopting their current name. By 1999 they had expanded with the addition of vocalist Nitelma Lima and violinist Jefferson Barreto, whose contributions gave the band the dense, mournful atmosphere that defined their 2000 debut "Songs for a Black Winter"; Jefferson Barreto remains central to the project, resurfacing decades later on the 2023 record "Doom4Ever".
