Houston's Ripper emerged in 2020 with a commitment to traditional heavy metal rooted in the Texas underground. Their sound channels the raw, no-frills energy of classic metal — riff-driven and unpretentious — with the grit you'd expect from a band forged in one of the country's most storied metal cities.
Portland's Ripper launched in 2020 playing a hybrid of heavy metal, speed metal, and punk that draws a direct line to the aggressive early-80s underground — think Venom and Motörhead filtered through the Pacific Northwest's anything-goes DIY ethic. The band plays fast and dirty, treating the punk-metal divide as a suggestion rather than a boundary.
Speed/heavy metal band from Santos, São Paulo, formed in 2015 with a lineup built around an 80s-influenced sound drawing from Venom, Exciter, Running Wild, and Annihilator.
