Sore Throat formed in Huddersfield, England in 1987, becoming one of the earliest and most extreme proponents of noisecore — a subgenre of grindcore defined by total sonic disintegration, ultra-short song lengths, and confrontational anti-music aesthetics. SoreLoser are a Tacoma, Washington thrash metal and metalcore band formed in 2015, merging the aggressive riffing of thrash with the rhythmic intensity and breakdowns of metalcore in the Pacific Northwest underground.
