The Meffs are an Essex punk duo made up of Lily Hopkins and Lewis Copsey, and their sound is built for maximum impact with minimal personnel. Since forming in 2019, they have used guitar, drums, shared urgency, and sharp political writing to create frantic British punk that feels both stripped down and fully charged. Releases such as Broken Britain, Broken Brains, and What a Life pull from garage punk, classic protest punk, and contemporary social frustration, with songs like "Stand Up, Speak Out," "No," "Clowns," and "Wasted on Women" showing the band's directness. The Meffs fit punk scope without qualification: short songs, hard-hit drums, overdriven guitar, anti-establishment bite, and live energy that prizes speed over polish. Their two-piece format gives the music a lean quality, but it does not feel small. Hopkins' vocal attack and Copsey's forceful drumming fill the space with agitation and swing. The band's appeal is practical and immediate: say the thing clearly, hit the chorus hard, and leave scorch marks before anyone can tidy the message up.

Death metal band from Rio Claro, São Paulo, active since 2025. The band released a self-titled debut EP in 2024 with five tracks: "Evil," "Bloody Cross," "Stronger Than You," "A Monster In The Park," and "Priest From Hell."

Scranton, PA, US · 2006–present · active
The Menzingers formed in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2006 and developed into one of modern punk's strongest storytelling bands. Early records such as A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology and Chamberlain Waits carried a rawer melodic-punk charge, but On the Impossible Past gave the band its defining voice: worn-in guitars, shouted harmonies, and lyrics that turn memory, drinking, work, aging, and hometown mythology into vivid scenes. Rented World, After the Party, Hello Exile, Some of It Was True, and later acoustic reworkings show a group refining heartland punk without losing urgency. Greg Barnett and Tom May's dual writing gives the catalog range, moving from desperate speed to mid-tempo reflection while keeping the choruses communal. The Menzingers are heavy in emotional grain rather than metal force; their guitars ring and roar, but the lasting impact is narrative. They fit punk and pop-punk scope because the songs are built for loud rooms where personal regret becomes shared release. Their best work makes growing older sound bruised, funny, and still worth shouting about.
