Taurine is a groove and sludge metal band from Törökbálint near Budapest, Hungary, formed in 2022. They combine punchy groove metal rhythms with the abrasive heaviness of sludge.
Vienna-based Taurisca is a female-fronted melodic death/folk metal project with strong pagan and medieval influences, drawing on the ancient Taurisci culture that once inhabited the eastern Alps. Their music blends Gothenburg-influenced melodic death guitar work with folk instrumentation and lyrical themes rooted in pre-Christian Central European mythology.
Beilen-based Taurus channel pure thrash metal aggression from the quiet northern Dutch province of Drenthe, proving that blistering speed and razor-sharp riffs need not originate from major metropolitan areas. Active since 2012, they bring old-school thrash intensity to an unlikely locale.
Speed/thrash metal band from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, formed in 1985 around brothers Cláudio Bezz (guitars) and Sérgio Bezz (drums), who released their debut album Signo de Taurus in 1986, followed by Trapped in Lies (1988) and Pornography (1989). After a hiatus from 1993 to 2006, the band resumed activity and released Fissura in 2010 and V on the Dies Irae label in 2020; they appeared in the documentary Brasil Heavy Metal.
