Detroit's Trenchfoot have been working the fault line between groove metal and metalcore since 2011, channeling the city's blue-collar intensity into churning riffs and serrated rhythms. The name alone evokes the grinding discomfort their sound aims to deliver.
Formed in 2022 out of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Trenchgoat bring a hard rock backbone to their blend of heavy and thrash metal, landing somewhere between throwback aggression and arena-adjacent hooks. They're a young band with a sound that leans on the visceral pleasure of the riff.
Brooklyn's Trenchgrinder have been a fixture in the New York underground since 2011, channeling death metal brutality, thrash velocity, and crust punk filth into a sound built for the pit. Their approach is confrontational and unpolished in the best tradition of the borough's extreme metal lineage.
TrenchHead is a brutal deathcore band from London, active since 2013. Their music delivers the most punishing combination of brutal death metal and hardcore breakdowns from the UK capital's extreme music underground.
TrenchKnife is a death metal band from Limerick, Ireland, formed in 2014. They deliver punishing death metal with a raw, aggressive edge from Ireland's midwest.
Power metal band from Guarulhos, São Paulo, formed in early 2018 by vocalist Diogo Nunes and guitarist Rogério Oliveira. Their debut album Kill Your Ghosts (July 2019) featured guest vocals from Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), and their second album Until the Sun Rise Again (November 2021) included guest appearances from Marina La Torraca (Phantom Elite) and Elisa C. Martin (Hamka). The band has toured across six countries and shared stages with Blind Guardian, Symphony X, and Hammerfall, releasing the conceptual EP Facing My Ghosts in February 2025.
Columbus, Georgia's Trendkill formed in 2020 with a sound anchored in the crossover space between death and thrash metal, drawing equally from the surgical precision of technical death and the kinetic aggression of thrash. Their name nods to an era of metal that prized authenticity over trend-chasing.
Trendkiller from the tiny Hunsrück village of Hunzel play heavy metal that rebels against musical fashion, delivering uncompromising traditional metal since 2012. Their anti-trend name reflects a stubborn commitment to classic metal values from the rural Rhineland-Palatinate highlands.
Trepalium formed in Boismé, France in 2001, developing a death metal style inflected with groove, progressive structures, and jazz and blues elements that placed them within the eclectic wing of the French extreme metal scene. Their debut Through the Absurd (2004) was produced by Joe Duplantier of Gojira, establishing a connection to the broader French extreme metal network sometimes referred to as the Konosphere. Alchemik Clockwork of Disorder (2006) and XIII (2009) followed, each leaning further into the band's genre-blending approach. Trepalium remained active through 2024, over two decades of consistently unconventional extreme metal.
