Warmachine is a thrash metal band from Carlos Barbosa, Rio Grande do Sul, rooted in the aggressive, mid-1980s Brazilian thrash tradition with lyrical themes centering on war, politics, and contemporary reality. The project shares members with other Rio Grande do Sul extreme metal acts, including connections to the black metal band Patria through the vocalist known as Triumphsword. The band released a self-titled demo that drew comparisons to classic thrash acts and established their uncompromising old-school approach.
