Agvares channels black metal from Vladivostok since 2020. Named after the demon Agares from the Ars Goetia, they summon infernal compositions from Russia's Pacific terminus — as far east as the country extends.
Agvará is a raw black metal project from Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, that released its debut demo Shadow Rivers in March 2025. The three-track recording features songs drawn from indigenous Guaraní mythology — including "The spirit of the mountain (Ka'a Póra)", "Vampire (Mbopi)", and "The crying woman (La Porá)" — blending lo-fi black metal aesthetics with themes rooted in regional folklore. Guitar work was contributed by Bruno Proyexida (ex-Escafismo), with drums tracked by Benjamín of Black Pappo.
Agvirre channels black metal from Manchester since 2019, their name a nod to Werner Herzog's visionary exploration film. Their Mancunian origins feed atmospheric compositions that evoke doomed quests into the unknown.

Ahab is a German funeral doom metal band founded in Karlsruhe in 2004, named after the obsessive captain in Herman Melville's Moby-Dick and building their entire thematic catalog around nautical horror and classic maritime literature. Their debut The Call of the Wretched Sea, released on Napalm Records, is considered a landmark of the funeral doom genre, and subsequent albums including The Divinity of Oceans (2009), The Giant (2012, based on Edgar Allan Poe), The Boats of the 'Glen Carrig' (2015), and The Coral Tombs (2023) have each adapted a different piece of seafaring fiction. Their pacing is glacial and their atmosphere suffocating, placing them among the premier acts in extreme doom.
Ahamkara crafts atmospheric black metal from Newcastle upon Tyne since 2014, named after the Hindu concept of ego-identity. Over a decade of atmospheric compositions from the northeast reflects a thoughtful approach to the genre.
Ahasver merges groove, progressive, and sludge metal from Toulouse since 2022, creating a dense, multilayered sound from the Pink City. Named after the Wandering Jew legend, their music carries the weight of eternal restlessness.
