Alastis was a Swiss extreme metal band formed in Sion, Valais in 1987 under the name Fourth Reich, shifting to black metal and adopting the name Alastis — derived from Alastor, the executioner of hell — in 1989. The band evolved across their career from raw black metal toward gothic and industrial-inflected extreme metal, releasing albums including The Just Law, ...And Death Smiled (1995), and Unity (2001), drawing comparisons to fellow Swiss act Samael. They disbanded in the early 2000s after a run of five studio albums.
Alastor is a thrash metal band from Hemet, California. With three releases between 2017 and 2021, including the full-length "Onwards and Downwards," the band plays aggressive thrash from the Inland Empire.

Alavena are a crossover metal band from the Santiago area of Chile, formed in 2013, who blend thrash, speed, death metal, and hardcore influences. Their debut album It Started Here was released on February 1, 2013 through Australis Records, comprising 12 tracks that include both Spanish- and English-language songs such as "Beer Money," "El Terrible," and "Muerto en Dolor." The record is one of the early entries in Chile's crossover thrash scene of that era.
