Blackened hardcore punk project from Piracicaba, São Paulo state, operated as a solo act by the musician credited only as Sinluz. The debut release Ímpeto Hediondo, issued December 19, 2024 through the Egregora Adversarial collective, comprises eight tracks of raw, horror-themed extreme music drawing explicit inspiration from 1970s and 1980s Italian and American slasher films including New York Ripper, Torso, and Maniac.

Sore Throat formed in Huddersfield, England in 1987, becoming one of the earliest and most extreme proponents of noisecore — a subgenre of grindcore defined by total sonic disintegration, ultra-short song lengths, and confrontational anti-music aesthetics.
