Heavy metal and punk band from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, formed in 2012 and representing the northeast Brazilian underground scene. The band blended metallic riffing with punk energy in a region not traditionally known for a large extreme metal presence, though they have since split up and left minimal documented releases.
Abortismo is a crossover thrash/punk band from Glew, Buenos Aires Province, featuring vocalist Lazaro Infante, guitarist Ariel Zurita, and the Marmet brothers on bass and drums. The band released their self-titled EP in February 2019, recorded and produced by Damian Nayar at Neurótico Records in Buenos Aires.
Alcohelldrugs is a raw speed/thrash and metal-punk duo from Vitória de Santo Antão, Pernambuco, formed in 2018 by brothers Thiago Xaruto and Henrique Alcoholic out of the northeastern Brazilian underground. The band released the EP "Never Stop the Madness" and the split "Hellish Alcoholic Attack" with Burial Ground, as well as the 2020 album "Infernal Metal Punk" through Murder Records, playing chaotic, lo-fi thrash punk in the tradition of Brazilian and international extremity.
Apokalyptisk Framtid is a black metal/noise/punk project from Catanduva, São Paulo state, formed in 2023. Their approach fuses the ugliness of raw black metal with punk and noise abrasion, and they have already appeared on split releases within the Brazilian underground, including the 2026 "Friends of Evil" split alongside Mortuário A.D., Mourning Souls, and Pugnax.
Bio-Organic War (B.O.W.) is a thrash/black metal and punk band originally from Villahermosa, Tabasco, later based in Campeche, Mexico, formed in 2011. Their sound fuses the aggression of thrash and black metal with punk rawness, with lyrics addressing nuclear war, misanthropy, and visceral violence. The band released their debut full-length, Pure Fucking Toxic Evil, in 2018, and is currently on hold.
Chumbo is a heavy/speed metal and punk band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2017, drawing heavily on NWOBHM and Motörhead-style influences. The band — featuring Rodolfo Paes on vocals, Gustavo Lord Ripper on guitars, Igor Mephisto Lourenço on bass, and Breno Thunder Bastos on drums — released their self-titled debut album in 2021 to positive underground reception. Their music blends raw punk energy with classic heavy metal riffing in the vein of Mercyful Fate, Thin Lizzy, and Black Sabbath.
Clan dos Mortos Cicatriz is a death-punk band from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, blending raw black metal, death metal, and hardcore punk into what the underground has called "nekro-hardcore." The band released their debut album "Técnicas de Morte" in March 2025 via Sentient Ruin Laboratories, a 15-track, 25-minute record described as a grim manifesto drawing imagery from slums, prisons, morgues, and war zones.
Cranial Crusher is a thrash/crossover punk trio from São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil, active since around 2010. The band blends thrash metal with crust punk and hardcore, and has released the EPs "Necrópole" (2016) and "Putrefakt" (2018), along with their debut full-length "Ciclo da Degradação" in 2023.
Demön Haunt is a one-man speed metal/metalpunk project from Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, created and recorded by a single musician using the handle @moshcide. The project released its self-titled debut EP in August 2020, delivering raw speed metal with punk energy and lyrical themes touching on anti-war, anti-fascism, science, and the legacy of Carl Sagan.
