Thy Sword is a Black Metal project from Morelia, Michoacán, the work of guitarist and vocalist Mark Espinosa (Sir Khorvaland), who also leads the death-doom act Sacrotorsus. The project draws on themes of medieval Christianity and primitive faith, released as the full-length Summoned by the King in 2023. Both Thy Sword and Sacrotorsus are based in Morelia and explore Christian-themed extreme metal from distinct angles.
