Underground black metal project from Brazil, formed in 2012, deliberately maintaining a low online profile and operating as a self-financed, independent act. Their debut release Descendente Arcanjo Gabriel (March 1, 2012) is a six-track EP combining raw black metal, thrash-inflected riffs, and a punk attitude, distributed through Death to Music Productions as a name-your-price download.
Black metal band from Tyrol, Austria, Thyrsus take their name from a mythical giant in Tyrolean legend — a figure also central to the tale of the giant Haymon. Originally active in 1998–99, the project was revived in 2018 and released two albums, "Haymon" and "Saga" (both 2020), the latter recorded between November 2018 and February 2020 at Kalthallen Studios, featuring old-school black metal with choral vocals and atmospheric passages.
