This Massachusetts Tormentor plays thrash and speed metal in the tradition of the genre's most aggressive early-80s practitioners, with a high-velocity attack and classic genre attitude. Formed in 2023, they bring the sharp-edged urgency of speed metal back to the New England underground.
Heavy/thrash metal band from Taubaté, São Paulo, founded in 2008, with a lineup of Luiz Amadeus (guitar and vocals), Eduardo Cabral (guitar), Thiago "Animal" Andrade (bass), and Niko Teixeira (drums). Their discography spans five releases including the debut God Save, Satan Deprave (2009) and Supplicium Plus Quam Bestia (2019), released through Music Records in France.
Detroit's Tormentous, formed in 2022, blends death metal and grindcore with the ruthless efficiency you'd expect from a city shaped by industrial heaviness and a gritty DIY underground. Their sound is compact and brutal, built for maximum impact in minimum time.
Tormentum hails from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, a small city in the rural south, and has been active since 2017 playing raw black metal largely cut off from major scene activity. That geographic isolation translates into a stripped-down, self-reliant approach to the genre's most underground tendencies.
Tormmentor formed in La Rioja, Argentina in 2008 — initially under the name Agramon before settling on their final name in July of that year — blending thrash and death metal with an lineup that included guitarists Martín Medina and Daniel Portal, drummer Jorge Díaz, and vocalist/bassist Emanuel Noceti. The band released their debut demo "Cicatriz Social" in June 2009, a four-track recording featuring original material including the track "Vorágine," which was later included on the Damien Fanzine compilation in 2011.
