Billy Grind e os Podres is a one-man noisecore and raw black metal project from Catanduva, São Paulo, Brazil, started by musician Billy Grind in 2020. The project is rooted in the Brazilian underground noise and grindcore circuit, self-described as delivering "the worst noise of your life," and has been prolific since its inception with releases including "Demo 1" (2020) and the compilation "A Fistful of Noise" (2021). The project later expanded into raw black metal territory while maintaining its lo-fi, abrasive aesthetic.

Billy Liar is an Edinburgh punk songwriter whose work moves between solo acoustic urgency and full-band punk rock. Built around sharp choruses, fast-strummed guitars, and a restless touring ethic, the project channels classic punk's directness through songs that are personal, political, and often darkly funny. Early releases leaned into acoustic punk and folk-punk immediacy, with Billy's voice and rhythmic attack carrying the weight that a louder band might usually supply. Over time, the project expanded into bigger arrangements while keeping the same emotional and lyrical bite. Signing with punk labels in the United States and later releasing Crisis Actor through Pirates Press Records pushed the music toward a more fully amplified sound, helped by collaborations with figures from the wider punk and alternative scene. Whether solo or backed by a band, Billy Liar's songs are driven by travel, defiance, anxiety, and working-class punk storytelling, delivered with the urgency of someone who treats every chorus like a lifeline.
Mississauga, ON, CA · 1993–present · active
Billy Talent began in the Toronto-area city of Mississauga, first playing under the name Pezz before becoming one of Canada's most recognizable punk-rooted rock bands. Their self-titled 2003 album sharpened a sound built from Ian D'Sa's angular guitar voicings, Ben Kowalewicz's high-tension vocals, Jon Gallant's driving bass, and Aaron Solowoniuk's hard, precise drumming. Billy Talent II and Billy Talent III pushed that formula into bigger choruses without losing the nervous, serrated guitar language that made the band stand apart from smoother pop punk peers. Songs such as "Try Honesty," "Red Flag," "Fallen Leaves," and "Rusted from the Rain" balance melodic accessibility with a frantic edge, and the band's later records kept tying personal distress to political anger and social unease. Their music is not metal, but it belongs in a heavy-adjacent directory through its post-hardcore bite, aggressive rhythm guitar, and punk velocity. Billy Talent's history is also one of consistency: the band's voice is instantly identifiable because the guitars, vocals, and rhythm section all sound like they are arguing in sync.

Bilmuri is the genre-fluid solo project of Johnny Franck, former guitarist of Attack Attack!, who launched the endeavor from his home studio around 2017. The project careens between djent, pop-punk, country, hip-hop, and metalcore, often within the same song, with Franck's irreverent humor tying it all together. His prolific output and refusal to commit to any single genre has cultivated a devoted online following that thrives on the unpredictability.
Kyiv, UA · 2011–present · active
Groove metal outfit from Kyiv, formed in 2011. Their material trades in the satisfying crunch of heavy, rhythmically driven riffs that demand involuntary neck movement.
