Brainscanner is an industrial sludge metal project from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2016 by Ricardo Siqueira and Alexandre Dantas, known for slow, heavy, and mechanistic riff-driven compositions. The duo has been highly prolific, releasing a string of albums including "Trilobita" (2016), "Phoneutria" (2018), "Secret Transmissions" (2020), "Moebius" (2021), and "Slow Evolution" (2023), the latter recorded over three years in home studios.
