Machocabrio is a stoner and hard rock band from Chillán, Chile who debuted with their album Altibajos in July 2015. The nine-track record blends stoner grooves, rock and roll energy, and Spanish-language songwriting in a style rooted in the heavy rock tradition.
Mad Dog is a heavy metal and hard rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, led by guitarist Martín Knye — a veteran of Argentine metal who previously fronted LZ2 (1986–1989) and recorded the country's first neoclassical metal album, El fuego sagrado (1989), before stints in Kamikaze, Magiar, and KZ4. The band features vocalist Javier "Oso" Muñiz, drummer Adrián Micheli, and bassist Diego Magnacca, and released a three-track EP in 2016 ("Dios Del Asfalto," "Huestes," "Mad Dog") followed by the ten-song debut full-length Hell Raising Breed in April 2020. Knye has cited Black Sabbath, AC/DC, and Black Label Society as primary influences, describing the band's sound as "pure, hard, and brutal rock."
Magika is a Buenos Aires melodic heavy metal band that released two albums through their early years: "La Fuerza Que Nace" (2004), recorded at Black Magic Studios and featuring guest vocals from Adrián Barilari of Rata Blanca, and "Lejos de Dios" (2005), also recorded at Black Magic Studios. "La Fuerza Que Nace" was recognised as one of the five best albums of 2004 on Buenos Aires radio program Tiempos Violentos on FM Rock & Pop.
Mammoth Mammoth coalesced in Melbourne, Australia in 2007 from the musical restlessness of guitarist Ben Couzens and vocalist Gareth Sweet, delivering a self-described smash of stoner, glam, doom, punk, and psychedelic rock influences. The band signed to Napalm Records and released Volume V: Mount the Mountain (2017) and Kreuzung (2019), having built their following through a decade of high-volume touring and a series of independently released early records. Their fuzzed-out, high-energy approach aligns them with Australian hard rock traditions while filtering them through the American stoner rock aesthetic.
Guitarist Marcelo Souza spent six years in the thrash metal band Attomica (2014–2020), touring across South America before launching a solo instrumental career that draws on metal, neoclassical, blues, and progressive fusion. His 2021 album "Human vs Machine," released through Oversonic Music, features guest appearances from vocalists Mário Pastore and lap steel guitarist Luís Carlini, and explores the tension between human expression and digital dependency.
Massive formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2012, playing a direct and high-energy hard rock style rooted in classic riff-driven tradition. The band signed to Earache Records and released their debut Full Throttle in 2014—given away as a free coverdisc with Classic Rock Magazine—followed by Destination Somewhere (2016) to critical praise. Their subsequent deal with European label Off Yer Rocka kept them active through the 2010s, positioning them as part of the wave of Australian hard rock acts reaffirming the country's long history with the genre.
Maten al Rey is a melodic heavy metal and hard rock band from Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, composed of vocalist and guitarist Sergio Goddio, bassist Alejandro López, and drummer Leonardo Rodaro. The band — whose name translates as "Kill the King" — released the album "Mar Adentro" in October 2018, produced by Marcelo Vázquez. They operate as an independent act and are listed in Metal Archives under the Argentine power metal scene.
Melomaniak is a heavy metal and hard rock band from Santiago, Chile whose lineup includes Claudio Melo, Guillermo Ananias, Fernando Forttes, and Nicolás Rosales. The band performs entirely in Spanish and has released two albums: Comprando Horror (2017) and El Adversario (2019).
Denver, Colorado outfit MF Ruckus began in 1997 as a three-chord punk band before evolving into a hard rock and heavy metal act with Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden among their touchstones. Albums including The Dirty Half-Dozen (2013) and Thieves of Thunder (2016) earned the band a loyal regional following and European touring opportunities. Their fourth album The Front Lines of Good Times Vol. I was released in 2023 via Glory or Death Records after the band weathered extensive personal losses and industry setbacks during the pandemic era.
