Take the Trash Out from Görlitz on the German-Polish border blend thrash metal, death metal, and metalcore into an aggressive hybrid since 2013. Their location at the easternmost edge of Germany infuses their sound with a cross-border energy drawn from both German and Polish metal traditions.
Tallah formed in Pennsylvania in 2017, co-founded by drummer Max Portnoy (son of Mike Portnoy) and guitarist Derrick Schneider, with vocalist Justin Bonitz joining in 2018. Signed to Earache Records, the band released the concept album Matriphagy in 2020, blending nu-metal and metalcore influences drawn from Slipknot, Korn, and Linkin Park, followed by The Generation of Danger (2022) and Primeval: Obsession // Detachment (2025). Portnoy received the Modern Drummer Award for Best Up and Coming Drummer in 2019.
Tangaroa is a metalcore/mathcore band from Leeds, active since 2000. Named after the Polynesian god of the sea, their music blends the angular rhythms and dissonant complexity of mathcore with the aggressive intensity of metalcore, making them one of the longer-running acts in the Leeds heavy music scene.
Austin's Taverner occupy the volatile space where metalcore collides with powerviolence and grindcore, a combination that makes their music as chaotic as the city's music scene is eclectic. Formed in 2016, they channel the blistering pace of powerviolence into song structures that occasionally open up just long enough to crush you with a metalcore breakdown before pulling the floor out again.
Sofia melodic death/metalcore band founded in January 2013 by guitarist and vocalist Liubomir Kabakov alongside guitarist Teodor Dimitrov and bassist Nikolay Stoichkov. Their debut album Fighting Myself (2016), recorded at the Delusional Thoughts Studio in Sofia, draws heavily from the Swedish melodic death metal tradition alongside American NWOAHM acts like In Flames and Five Finger Death Punch. The eleven-track record established them as one of the more accessible melodic extreme metal acts in Bulgaria's capital.
