Ansata was a progressive metal band from Piracicaba, São Paulo, whose name is the Latin word for the ankh symbol. The band released their debut album "Crux Ansata" in 2008, a concept record steeped in ancient Egyptian mythology and middle-eastern musical influences, woven through technical guitar work and prominent keyboards.
