Devastating Death Metal from McKinney.
The Troll conjure raw and atmospheric black metal from an undisclosed Spanish location, channeling the menace of Nordic folklore through Iberian extremity since 2020. Their anonymous approach and creature-themed name heighten the primal, otherworldly quality of their sound.
Death/thrash metal band from Belo Horizonte formed in 2020 by Jairo "Tormentor" Guedz, who played guitar on Sepultura's Bestial Devastation (1985) and Morbid Visions (1986). The band released their debut album Antichrist Reborn in April 2022 on Alma Mater Records — mixed by Peter Tägtgren at The Abyss Studio and featuring guest appearances from João Gordo (Ratos de Porão) and Alex Camargo and Moyses Kolesne (Krisiun) — and followed it with A Mass to the Grotesque in May 2024, with cover art by Dan Seagrave.
The Trousers is a melodic death metal band from Loimaa, Finland, active since 2009. They play melodic death metal from the rural southwestern Finnish countryside.
The Truck Experience from Kiel deliver death metal with the unstoppable momentum of their vehicular namesake, grinding through the Schleswig-Holstein scene since 2018. Their Baltic coast base provides an unlikely setting for their juggernaut approach to brutality.
The True Endless is a black metal band from Novara, Italy, active since 2017. They deliver raw, uncompromising black metal rooted in the traditions of the Italian underground.
A New York black/death metal project formed in 2018, The True Goat channels raw, ritualistic aggression with an underground ethos that favors darkness over accessibility. Their approach leans into the primitive, confrontational side of extreme metal with little concession to polish.
The True Hellfyre Warmachine from Reichenbach im Vogtland in Saxony forge blackened thrash metal with the infernal military precision their elaborate name suggests since 2016. Their sound combines black metal's atmospheric hostility with thrash's velocity from the eastern German Vogtland region.
Mayhem formed in Oslo, Norway in 1984, founded by guitarist Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth, bassist Jørn "Necrobutcher" Stubberud, and drummer Kjetil Manheim, and became the most notorious and influential act in the development of Norwegian black metal. The band's early lineups included vocalist Per "Dead" Ohlin, whose theatrical corpse paint stage persona and 1991 suicide deepened the band's mythology, and the subsequent murder of Euronymous by Varg Vikernes of Burzum in 1993 overshadowed the release of their debut De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (1994), now regarded as a foundational document of the genre. Surviving members reformed with new lineups, releasing Grand Declaration of War (2000) and Ordo Ad Chao (2007), the latter winning Norway's Spellemann Award for best heavy metal album. Attila Csihar has been the band's vocalist since the mid-2000s reformation.
