!T.O.O.H.! is a Czech progressive death metal and grindcore duo formed in 1990 in Libice nad Cidlinou under the name Devastator, later changing their name in 1993. The two-piece outfit — consisting of Schizoid on drums and vocals and Humanoid on bass, guitars, and programming — blends death metal, grindcore, and folk-tinged progressive elements into a singular, difficult-to-classify sound. Their discography spans six albums, from the 1999 debut From Higher Will through the politically-charged Svoboda slova in 2020, with lyrics evolving from early gore themes toward social and political commentary. They remain one of the more idiosyncratic acts to emerge from the Czech extreme metal underground.
(god-rot) is a progressive death metal and grindcore outfit from Rochester, New York. The band made their mark with their 2022 self-titled full-length, an eight-track album that fuses the technical ambition of progressive death metal with the frenzied velocity of grindcore.
10,000 Rambos is a grindcore and hardcore punk band from Cleveland, Ohio, active since 2015 and consistently prolific. Across four full-lengths and an EP — from their self-titled debut through 2025's "World War IV" — the band delivers short, caustic bursts of politically charged grindcore with a hardcore punk backbone. Their discography is a relentless document of fury, tackling societal rot with the speed and brevity the genre demands.
21 Acts of Manslaughter is a grindcore act from Eustace, Texas, releasing an eight-track blast in 2020 that includes covers of Celtic Frost's "Procreation of the Wicked" and Sepultura's "Troops of Doom." The choice of covers reveals a reverence for extreme metal's founding fathers alongside their own bursts of grinding fury. The band represents the unlikely but enduring presence of grindcore in rural East Texas.
Black metal and grindcore band from Catanduva, in the interior of São Paulo state, formed in 2023. The name translates to Three Skulls and reflects the band's penchant for stripped-down extremity at the intersection of raw black metal aggression and the blunt force of grindcore. As a new entry in the Brazilian underground with no Spotify presence, they operate in the DIY cassette and Bandcamp space that sustains much of the country's extreme metal underground.
Gulfport, Mississippi black metal and grindcore hybrid. Mississippi Gulf Coast extremity delivered in a cryptic alphanumeric package.
Grindcore and crust punk band from Recife, Pernambuco, active from 2012 until their split. The name translates to Seven Days of Massacre, nodding to the blunt, politically charged tradition of Brazilian and international crust grindcore. Recife has produced a small but fierce extreme underground, and 7 Dias de Massacre operated within that scene, blending the noise-driven blast of grindcore with the anarchic energy of crust punk.
Punishing Grindcore from Houston.
Colorado Springs/Denver grindcore project named after an area code. Front Range blasts of fury.
