Amargo is a Brazilian raw black metal solo project by Victor "Oguh" Ramos, who handles all instruments, vocals, and lyrics. Rooted in the tradition of second-wave black metal with acknowledged influences ranging from Burzum and Darkthrone to local acts Sarcófago and Mystifier, the project released its debut album "Processo de purificação" in 2015 on the Ad Eternum label, blending lo-fi atmospheric black metal with dark ambient elements. A subsequent split with Kav was released through Wolfmond Production, cementing Amargo's place in Brazil's underground raw black metal underground.
Anal Cunt was an American grindcore and noisecore band formed in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988 by Seth Putnam, the group's sole consistent member throughout its existence. Notorious for deliberately offensive song titles and lyrics deployed as provocation, the band also produced genuinely extreme noise and grindcore at speeds and abrasiveness that influenced subsequent acts in the genre. They released eight studio albums before disbanding in 2011 following Putnam's death from a suspected heart attack.
A short-lived Brazilian solo project by Lucylove, blending black metal, death metal, grindcore, and noise into what the artist described as "Brazilian deathgrind crust." Their 2022 debut EP "Anti-Fa, Anti-You, Anti-All," released through No Profit, No Money Records, packs ten tracks of nihilistic extremity, with chaotic noise textures and lyrical themes centered on emptiness and anti-authoritarian rage. A second EP, "The Nekrocrust," followed in October 2023 before the project disbanded.
Apokalyptisk Framtid is a black metal/noise/punk project from Catanduva, São Paulo state, formed in 2023. Their approach fuses the ugliness of raw black metal with punk and noise abrasion, and they have already appeared on split releases within the Brazilian underground, including the 2026 "Friends of Evil" split alongside Mortuário A.D., Mourning Souls, and Pugnax.
A solo death metal and noise project from São Paulo, driven entirely by Luis Fernando Khaf-re, who handles all instruments himself. The project explores the failures of modernity and mysticism across a catalog that includes albums such as "Superstitions," "Light of Repentance," "Made in Voodoo," and "Esgoto Sonoro," with a cover of Sepultura's "Roots Bloody Roots" nodding to the São Paulo metal lineage.
BDSM was a Brazilian raw black metal, grindcore, and noise band that self-identified as "Junkie Black Metal," operating out of Inferno, Brazil from around 2016 to 2023. The trio — LL (bass/vocals), FG (drums), and DM (guitars) — released a string of lo-fi assaults including the demos "Primitivo Black Metal" and "Poser Demo," as well as the albums "Dark, Black, Blacker!!!" and "End," finishing their run with the EP "The Black Metal Drugged" (2023) on No Profit, No Money Records. Their themes centered on human degradation, sex, drugs, and hate, channeling the ugliest end of the Brazilian underground.
Black Cocaine is a Brazilian raw black metal and noise project formed in 2022 and released under Podreira Records, a DIY underground label based in Catanduva, São Paulo. The band released the demo "Reality, Insanity, Drugs..." in 2022, operating firmly within Brazil's lo-fi extreme underground.
Bong of Depression is a Brazilian doom, black metal, and drone project formed in 2024, with member Niili handling instruments alongside drummer Guna. The project released a split with Mourning Souls through Podreira Records in January 2024 and followed it with the full-length 'Æternal Doomed' in August 2024, exploring bleak atmospheres across drone, doom, and dark ambient terrain.
FuneralPhobia is a raw black metal and noisecore one-man band from Catanduva, São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2019 by Billy Grind, who also plays in Ash Slasher and Mourning Souls. The project is closely tied to Podreira Records, a DIY underground label from Catanduva, and released a flurry of material in 2019 including the demo Nosferatu Coffin and several splits, followed by the Compilation of Horror in 2020.
