AngelMaker approach deathcore as a many-voiced assault, using multiple vocalists, thick guitar layering, and abrupt rhythmic turns to make their songs feel crowded with menace. Black Tongue is a Hull, England deathcore band formed in 2013, widely credited as a defining act in downtempo deathcore—a style the band itself calls 'Doomcore.' Boris the Blade is a Melbourne, Australia technical and brutal deathcore band formed in 2010, named after a character from the 2000 film Snatch.
